Overall, the TDP has so far won 934 seats and YSRCP 634 seats. The Congress has won just 45.
The counting of votes polled in March 30 elections in 10 municipal corporations and 146 municipalities began at 8 a.m. Monday at 155 centres across the state.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) swept the urban body polls in Seemandhra, Totally won the 58 municipality places in semandra and totally 11 municpality places got won the TDP in Telangana. Telugu Desam Party(TDP) took the revenge on the YSRCP and CONGRESS parties.
Totally YSRCP Won the 16 Municipality places in Seemandra and Andhra Pradesh appeared to have proved costly for the Congress as it could not win a single municipal corporation or municipality in elections in the 13 districts of Seemandhra.
Overall, the TDP has bagged 1,446 seats (divisions or wards) and the YSR Congress 852 in Seemandhra. Others, majority of them independents, have won 120 seats. The Congress finished a poor third with 55 seats
TELANGANA MUNICIPALITY RESULT:
The Congress has bagged nine municipalities in Telangana while the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has captured five. The Congress has also established lead in many other municipalities.
Out of three municipal corporations which went to polls in Telangana, the TRS has bagged Karimnagar while the Congress is ahead in Nizamabad and Ramagundem.
Overall, the Congress has so far won 394 seats and the TRS 245 seats in Telangana.
The TDP has bagged 129 and others 256 seats.
Voted polled in 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Seemandhra will be counted on Friday.
Seemandhra, comprising Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra regions, will come into being as separate state of Andhra Pradesh on June 2.
